While the first model was touted as being the “lean, mean, grilling machine” this new generation does a lot more than just grill a good burger. George Foreman GRP90WGR Next Grilleration Electric Nonstick Grill is a grill that thinks it’s a toaster, a griddle, an oven and a waffle maker.

Like its predecessors, the GRP90WGR sports the same slick easy to clean styling with this model sporting a snappy red finish. The grill area is the company’s most popular size, 72 square inches. The really big addition and something many Foreman grill fans have been asking for, are non-stick removable grill plates. There are 5 plates in total; one for grilling, Paninis, baking, griddle and waffle baking.

The pros: easy to clean removable plates. You can even toss them in the dishwasher for an easy cleanup. All in one appliance saves space on counter tops, eliminating the need for other appliances. Adjustable temperature control allows users to change the settings for personal preference.

The cons: the handle on the grill sticks out a full 6 inches beyond the grill surface making it difficult to open if used on a counter with a cabinet above. The grease collector is easy to spill. The grill and griddle size is limited in size allowing enough space for 2 good size hamburgers.

Who should buy this model: the GRP90 will make a nice addition to single people or smaller families. Its limited grilling area may inconvenient if you need to cook for more than 2 people at a time. However, even large families that eat at different times may find the convenience of an all in one appliance for on the go meals.

Let me tell you, I was not disappointed with my first waffle go-round a couple of days ago.

As you can see from the numerous customer reviews, the latest G5 grill is really outstanding
